Moderisation and complete refurbishment of the 3 main council buildings. 1910 “Edwardian Baroque” Grade II Listed building (Old Town Hall), 1960s Block (Beach Road Annex), 1980s 4 Storey Block (Broughton Road Annex).

The Scheme is to alter and refurbish the existing Town Hall, to create a modern, bright, open working environment to accommodate various teams and services, some to be relocated from satellite offices.

The majority of the works are internal, with no external alteration to the 1910 “Edwardian Baroque” Listed building (Old Town Hall).

The 1960s Block (Beach Road Annex) will have a new roof and new windows roof light and curtain walling to match the style of the existing 1980s 4 Storey Block (Broughton Road Annex) will have a number of new mechanically operated louvres to 4 floors to address lack of ventilation and overheating – linked to new BMS in addition to replacing number of existing timber Windows In addition to solar film to windows to address further overheating and fixed bries soliel to the top 3 floors.

A new FE/entrance and canopy to will be provide to the newly located Café Area.
